This role is for a Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) responsible for preparing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment. The SPT will work in a hospital setting, following established procedures to ensure the sterility and safety of medical supplies. The position requires a minimum of three years of experience and relevant certification.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
- Maintain inventory of sterile supplies and equipment.
- Ensure the proper functioning of sterilization equipment.
- Adhere to infection control and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
- Current certification in Sterile Processing Technology.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
Special Considerations:
- Every other weekend and holiday work is required.
- No on-call responsibilities.
- The facility may cancel up to 5 shifts per contract.
- Candidates who have worked full-time at this facility in the past year or full-time within the AMC network (AMC, GFH, Saratoga, and CMH) in the past six months will not be considered.
- Caregivers within 50 miles may receive a discounted rate.
Scheduling:
- 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM every other weekend/holiday.
