We are seeking a Senior Lead Cloud Database Architect to join our team. You will work with an experienced professional services team to assist customers in migrating to and operating within the Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), with a primary focus on data and databases. What You'll Do: Collaborate closely with colleagues and customers to solve data challenges. Assess and remediate sizing, performance, and configuration issues. Plan and execute data migrations, independently or as part of larger cloud migration efforts. Modernize database platforms (e.g., MSSQL, Oracle to PgSQL/Aurora). Design and implement data lakes and ETL pipelines. Provide consulting guidance to customers and prospects, and assist colleagues with planning and writing Statements of Work. Who You Are: You're passionate about technology and the options the public cloud offers. You enjoy helping customers solve existing problems while identifying and remediating new ones. You also meet the following minimum requirements: A BA/BS Degree with 8 years of relevant experience in database administration and architecture, or a related field. Alternative qualifications include a MS degree with 6 years of relevant experience, a Ph.D. with 3 years, or 12 years of relevant experience without a degree. At least 3 years of relevant public cloud experience. Specialty/Intermediate level AWS and/or Azure cloud data certifications (e.g., AWS Database Specialty, DP-100, DP-203, DP-300, DP-500). Expertise and hands-on experience with MS SQL Server and at least one additional platform such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or CosmosDB, both on-premises and in the cloud (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL). Hands-on experience using ETL tools for data integration into and out of databases and data warehouses/lakes. Intermediate experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like ARM, CloudFormation, or Terraform. Familiarity with Identity and Access Management models in on-premises (Active Directory), public cloud (AWS IAM, Azure AD), and in-schema. Experience running migration tools such as backup/restore, log shipping/mirroring, Always On Availability Groups, AWS DMS, Schema Conversion Tool, Azure Migrate, Azure Data Migration Assistant, or AWS Glue. Preferred Experience: Professional/Expert level Cloud Architecture certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, AZ-305). Intermediate to expert familiarity with analytics or data warehousing platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, RedShift, or Azure Data Lake. Experience with AI/ML applications and pipelines. Industry knowledge in verticals like Healthcare/HealthTech, Financial Services/FinTech, SaaS, or E-Commerce. Salary range: USD 144,900 - 241,500 per year.
