Job Description

At Target RWE, our mission is driven by a deep commitment to people—whether it’s the patients we serve, the partners we collaborate with, or the dedicated team members who power our work. As a purpose-driven organization, we leverage real-world data to advance clinical research and inform better healthcare decisions. We foster a collaborative environment where every voice is heard, every idea has impact, and every contribution helps improve lives. If you're seeking a place where your work truly matters, join us to advance science.

We are looking to hire a Product Owner to support our data platform and internal tools that enable the generation of real world evidence.

Our development teams work with internal and external stakeholders to create comprehensive datasets from various sources of data. As a Product Owner, you'll support customer experience requirements, NLP and ML technical requirements, process design, system changes, testing, and analysis while being a technical liaison between engineering, product, and cross-functional teams on all matters related to data modeling, infrastructure optimization, and NLP and ML model development.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with stakeholders across business units (ex: engineering, product, medical affairs, clinical operations, data science, UX/UI design, data curation) to understand pain points, project objectives, and client needs
  • Gather business requirements and develop functional specifications while working closely with engineering and product
  • Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, use cases, and acceptance test criteria
  • Serve as the Product Owner within Agile development teams, managing and grooming the product backlog, ensuring clear understanding of tickets, prioritizing user stories, and assisting with sprint planning
  • Manage cross-product risks and interdependencies
  • Create internal and external documentation, including release notes and user guides/training materials as needed
  • Perform thorough quality assurance and validate that solutions meet client requirements by leading user acceptance testing across cross functional teams
  • Demo product capabilities to internal teams and stakeholders
  • Analyze business needs to fulfill delivery timelines and optimize gaps to enhance quality of product development
  • Develop and measure post-launch product metrics to evaluate future investment

What You'll Bring

  • Business analyst or product owner experience
  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, business information systems, computing and systems development, or previous experience working on clinical trials
  • Experience working with NLP, machine learning, and statistical methods
  • Experience in generating technical documentation
  • Knowledge of programming languages, databases, and software testing
  • Excellent communication skills and business acumen to engage in stakeholder discussions across a variety of business units
  • Technical acumen to discuss architectural design concepts with technical teams
  • Expertise in Scrum and Agile software development
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and think analytically
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

If you are ready to be part of a team where your work truly matters - where your expertise is valued, your growth is supported, and your contributions help shape the future of healthcare, Target RWE is the place for you. We’re building something meaningful together, and we’d love for you to be a part of it.
