Job Title: Plant Operations Manager

Reports To: COO

Job Status: Salaried

Job Locations: Bryan & Pioneer, OH

Basic Job Functions:

Altenloh, Brinck & Co. US, Inc. manufactures and distributes engineered fasteners under the SPAX•brand for the construction market, TRUFAST•for the commercial roofing industry and TRUFASTWalls•for exterior building envelopes and facades. The Plant Operations Manager has strategic and tactical leadership responsibility and accountability for all personnel and operations relating to the production process for fastener manufacturing processes at the Bryan and Pioneer facilities. These areas include Fastener Manufacturing, Maintenance, Tooling, Heat Treating and Packaging Departments across all shifts. This includes the development, implementation and sustaining of training processes and associates for those respective areas.

Essential Responsibilities:

Leadership:
  • Lead area managers in manufacturing, heat treat, packaging, maintenance, and tooling departments.
  • Champion employee engagement throughout the plant operational process.
  • Personalize company and department objectives to support the overall vision and planning processes.
  • Ensure communication between Plant Operational areas are always maintained.
  • Develop personal and professional talent across all production areas.
  • Provide support for issue resolution for all production associates.
Process & Organizational Management:
  • Maintain and improve department production process and increase productivity metrics by partnering with support staff departments (Safety, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Training, BI/IT, etc.)
  • Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and adherence for directly responsible areas.
  • Coordinate resource deployment and execution to meet throughput and productivity requirements.
  • Oversee Production Based Incentive (PPR) reporting and variance resolution.
Organizational Development & Growth:
  • Integrate, influence, and ensure consistency for required training requirements and employee development.
  • Attend industry associated learning opportunities to explore/develop new production processes and employee growth opportunities.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with additional ABC companies to improve production processes and technological advancements (i.e. German Integration & Communication)

Position Requirements


Experience:
  • 10+ years comparable production management experience & familiarity of related equipment preferred.
Education:
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or leadership preferred.

Travel:

Regular travel is required to support local production processes in both Bryan and Pioneer, Ohio. This position will require some travel to trade shows and other corporate locations (Grand Rapids, MI, and Germany) for process improvement, coordination & training opportunities.

Physical Requirements:

Remaining in a stationary position, frequent standing or sitting for prolonged periods. The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift to 25 pounds.
