Description
The program is a seeking a qualified professional with expertise in medical surgical nursing. Additional experience in pediatric nursing preferred; however, not required.

Examples of Duties
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include both classroom and clinical teaching, engaging in department and college wide service activities, and academic advising. Classroom content includes responsibility for nursing concepts related to each of the above specialty areas and will be assigned according to area of professional expertise. Clinical responsibilities include direct supervision of students in a variety of settings.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must hold current RN licensure in the State of Maryland, a minimum of a Master's Degree in Nursing, and demonstrate a strong foundation in nursing theory and practice. Current bedside nursing experience is required. A Master's in Nursing Education or Post – Master's Certificate in Nursing Education is preferred.
Physical Requirements
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS IN A CLINICAL SETTING:
Work for 8-12 hours performing physical tasks requiring physical energy without jeopardy to client and student safety (strenuous physical activities include but are not limited to: pushing, pulling, stooping, walking and carrying more than 50 pounds).
Performing fine movements and be able to manipulate instruments and equipment.
Have auditory ability sufficient to monitor and assess health needs of clients.
Have visual ability sufficient for observation and assessment necessary for client care.
