Job Description

About the POSITION:

Clinic is seeking a compassionate and adventurous Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dedicated healthcare team in Bethel, Alaska . This role is part of our Village Travel Program , a unique opportunity to provide care to some of the 56 remote tribal communities in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta region that do not have year-round medical providers.

For four months each year , you will travel to these villages using a variety of seasonal transport methods — including 4-wheelers, snow machines (sleds), small planes, and boats — depending on weather and terrain. This is an exceptional opportunity for a clinician seeking the ultimate Alaskan adventure , while making a profound impact in the lives of rural and Indigenous populations.

About the Clinic:
Serving the community since 1979, Clinic is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) committed to delivering comprehensive primary care services to the residents of Bethel and the surrounding region. Our clinic plays a vital role in improving access to quality healthcare in remote areas of southwest Alaska.

Location – Bethel, Alaska:
Nestled in the heart of the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta, Bethel is a hub for Alaska Native culture and outdoor adventure. Despite its remote location, Bethel offers a strong sense of community, incredible wildlife, and unparalleled natural beauty. This is a position ideal for someone seeking meaningful work and a lifestyle immersed in nature and culture.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree from an accredited Advanced Practice Nursing program

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Alaska State Board of Nursing

  • At least 3 years of clinical experience preferred

  • Strong communication, decision-making, and teamwork skills

  • Resilience, adaptability, and a passion for community-based care

Preferred Certifications:

  • APNP, NP, FNP, CNM, or CRNA credentials

Please note: This position is for a Nurse Practitioner only. Physician Assistants (PAs) are not eligible for this role.

About the COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • Salary: $150,000 – $170,000 , depending on experience

  • Full benefits package, including health insurance, retirement, and paid time off

  • Eligible for NHSC loan repayment , with one of the highest Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) scores in the nation

  • Supportive and mission-driven work environment

If you're seeking a rare opportunity to combine your clinical skills with cultural immersion and outdoor adventure, this Clinic is the place for you.
Join us in delivering life-changing care across the Alaskan frontier.
