PSI Environmental Systems, a Waste Connections Company is looking to hire a Non-CDL Driver Trainee/Route Helper in Twin Falls, ID. Starting pay for Non-CDL is $21/HR with a $2.00/hr increase after obtaining your CDL. This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday, 6:30am until the route is complete, generally 8-11 hour days, with occasional Saturdays. Year-round work with no seasonal layoffs and home every night. Responsibilities include collecting and loading waste, transporting waste by truck to a landfill and/or transfer station. The job is physically demanding and requires ability to read route tablets/sheets, perform daily pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections, operate hydraulic hand controls, and interact courteously with customers. Physical demands include heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds and moving up to 100 pounds. Work environment includes exposure to physical risks, weather conditions, fumes, vibration, and noise. Requirements include a clean driving record, ability to obtain a CDL through on-the-job training, passing background check and drug screening, knowledge of D.O.T. laws, ability to work 40-50 hours per week, and proficiency in English.
