Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with legal research, drafting, and reviewing legal documents
- Conduct data entry and maintain accurate and organized files
- Perform clerical tasks such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and managing calendars
- Assist in managing projects and ensuring deadlines are met
- Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to ethical standards
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in data entry and file management
- Knowledge of legal drafting and document review processes
- Knowledge in calendaring
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in a legal setting
- Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills
This position requires a candidate who is detail-oriented, organized, and has a strong understanding of legal processes. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively with attorneys. The Legal Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the attorneys in their daily tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of the law firm.
