As a Graphic Design Intern, you'll be part of the creative team within an agency creating designs for clients in a variety of industries and target audiences. This is a part-time opportunity working approximately 20 hours per week.
Specific responsibilities of the Graphic Design Intern include:
- Create visually engaging concepts such as logos, promotional branding materials, communication media, and other materials.
- Collaborate with client, editorial staff, manager, art director, and/or other project participants to understand project assignment, audience, and intended message.
- Create original visual media that communicates the desired feeling or message in an engaging and unified way.
- Choose graphics, clip art, and stock photography, as appropriate; may enhance choices with simple drawings.
- Select fonts for written copy; produces sample layout for approval by client or other project participants.
- Prepare drafts of design work and provides samples to editorial or other appropriate staff or departments for review.
- Revise projects as necessary based on collaborative feedback process.
- Consult with graphics manager, art director, and/or other team members as needed on complex or specialized projects.
- Maintain records of billable project time as required.

Experience and Skills - Current student enrolled in Bachelor's degree program majoring in Digital Media, Graphic Design, or related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency in visual design software, such as Adobe Creative Cloud/Creative Suite's InDesign, Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat. XD, Sketch, InVision prototyping tools a plus.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently on an assignment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
- Possess good time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Display a positive, team-player, Whatever It Takes attitude.
