Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Premises in Elizabeth City, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer at this government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, responding to situations as needed, and providing excellent customer service and communication. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry and maintain your weapon in accordance with regulations. You will contribute to a positive environment by working collaboratively with others and upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and observing for any security-related incidents.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances or violations within the government facility.
• Document and report any security-related incidents or unusual activities according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when appropriate.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to any situation that may arise during patrols or while stationed at assigned posts.

Minimum Requirements:

• North Carolina Armed Security Professional License is preferred.
• North Carolina Security Professional Guard Card is required. 
• An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
