Job Overview:

Critter Control is seeking an Entry-Level Wildlife Exclusion Technician to join our team in Nuisance Wildlife Control and General Contracting. In this role, you will remove and exclude unwanted wildlife, perform remediation and exclusionary repairs, and implement preventative solutions in residential and commercial buildings. This is a hands-on role for those who enjoy problem-solving, working in different environments daily, and making a direct impact on customers' lives. Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Work & Safety (90%)
    • Remove unwanted animals, perform exclusion work, and implement preventative solutions.
    • Conduct remediation activities to repair animal-related damages.
    • Maintain detailed notes and photos in work orders using Service Bridge.
    • Inspect completed jobs for quality and completion.
    • Follow all company safety standards and ensure safe work habits.
    • Operate and maintain company-provided vehicles and equipment.
    • Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe.
    • Train and coach Tech 2 employees on safety protocols, ladder use, and roof safety.
  • Customer Service (10%)
    • Provide world-class customer service and address customer questions and concerns.
    • Maintain a professional appearance and ensure company vehicles meet quality standards.
    • Educate customers on preventative measures and additional services that can help protect their property.

Qualifications:
  • Required:
    • 1+ years of experience in a similar role (construction, wildlife control, or related fields).
    • Strong construction skills - experience with hand tools, roofing, and exterior repairs.
    • Great customer service skills with the ability to explain solutions to customers.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain licenses/certifications as required by local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
    • Must have Valid Driver's license and an insurable driving record.
    • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Preferred:
    • NWCOA Certifications (Structural Bat Management, Bird Management).
    • Experience in nuisance wildlife control, general contracting, or a related field.
    • Understanding of fall protection and OSHA safety standards.
