Overview

Awe Inspired is seeking a highly strategic, culturally fluent Director of Content Marketing to lead the full spectrum of brand content – from organic social to paid ad creative. This is a critical leadership role responsible for developing and executing the brand’s visual and storytelling strategies across Instagram, TikTok, Meta Ads, Google Ads, and beyond. You will manage a nimble, high-performing team of graphic designers, a brand copywriter, and a video editor to bring the brand’s voice and aesthetic to life across every platform. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will partner closely with the Creative Director on brand storytelling and shoot strategy, and with the VP of Growth on performance marketing initiatives. You will also serve as a key guardian of our brand identity, visual calendar, and cultural relevance. . Your primary goal is scaling brand awareness, which will be measured by Meta CPM, organic social media impressions, and earned traffic to our website. 

The ideal candidate is deeply plugged into the intersections of fashion, aesthetics, digital subcultures, creators, and pop culture moments, with an innate understanding of how trends evolve – and how luxury brands can translate them with precision and taste. They must bring an elevated creative sensibility and a demonstrated track record of executing best-in-class content strategies for aspirational, design-driven brands. You will be expected to work out of our Hollywood HQ on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, with Wednesday and Friday as work from home days.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full content marketing strategy across paid and organic channels, ensuring brand consistency, creative innovation, and strategic alignment with business goals;
  • Direct the strategy and execution of all paid ad production for Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, and Google in collaboration with the VP of Growth;
  • Lead and manage the in-house content team, including brand copywriter, graphic designers, and video editor;
  • Architect and oversee the daily social media content calendar (Instagram and TikTok), ensuring a continuous stream of engaging, visually cohesive, and culturally resonant content;
  • Stay hyper-attuned to social trends, niche subcultures, visual movements, memes, emerging creators, and cultural flashpoints – proactively translating insights into creative content opportunities;
  • Maintain a sophisticated, elevated visual standard across all platforms, bringing deep experience in high-end, aspirational brand storytelling;
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director to align content with seasonal campaigns, new product launches, and evolving brand narratives;
  • Maintain and optimize all content production processes, including the visual calendar (in partnership with the Creative Director), social posting cadence (owned independently), and paid ads backlog (in collaboration with VP of Growth);
  • Strategize and oversee the production of brand campaigns, social content shoots, and e-commerce shoots in partnership with the Production Coordinator;
  • Analyze content performance across paid and organic channels and iterate strategies based on data-driven insights to optimize engagement, reach, conversions, and revenue;
  • Uphold and evolve the brand voice and visual identity to deepen emotional resonance with customers and strengthen Awe Inspired’s cultural and aesthetic leadership.

Qualifications

  • 9+ years of experience in content marketing, social media strategy, or creative production – preferably within luxury, fashion, beauty, or culture-driven brands;
  • Demonstrated experience leading content strategies and production for aspirational brands with extremely elevated visual standards;
  • Deep fluency in Instagram and TikTok best practices, platform evolutions, and high-performing content strategies;
  • Culturally fluent and chronically plugged in: expert at tracking microtrends, creators, emerging aesthetics, memes, and movements across digital culture;
  • Proven success managing multi-disciplinary creative teams and coordinating cross-functional strategic initiatives;
  • Analytical proficiency: confident pulling and interpreting performance data to optimize content across paid and organic channels;
  • Strong creative judgment and a sharp editorial eye – able to distinguish between a fleeting trend and a brand-building moment;
  • Highly organized, solution-oriented, and able to balance short-term execution with long-term brand building;
  • Spiritually curious and visually attuned to the Awe Inspired universe – bonus points for mythology, astrology, goddess culture, or spiritual wellness literacy;
  • Proficient in tools like Figma, PowerBI, Google Analytics, Frame.io, DashHudson, Tribe, and familiar with content performance tracking tools;
