Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Revenue Management to lead our pricing strategy across the self-storage portfolio. This in-office position is based at our San Francisco headquarters and is critical for day-to-day collaboration with our executive team and cross-functional departments.

The Director of Revenue Management will lead our pricing team, support regional managers and senior leadership, and directly impact unit pricing, revenue growth, customer retention, and occupancy optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and recommend adjustments to rental rates across all unit sizes and facilities.
  • Develop and implement tiered pricing models to reflect unit value and market demand.
  • Oversee the Existing Customer Rate Increase (ECRI) program using data-driven insights.
  • Manage promotional pricing and discount strategies across the portfolio.
  • Evaluate and test the impact of rate changes, promotions, and customer tenure.
  • Conduct internal and external data analysis to inform pricing decisions.
  • Monitor market and competitor activity to adjust pricing strategies.
  • Leverage forecasting and analytics to maintain high occupancy and maximize revenue.
  • Identify upsell opportunities and additional revenue streams.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing team to support lead generation through pricing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with pricing optimization software and market data platforms.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in collaborative team environments.
  • Experience in self-storage, multifamily, hospitality, or air travel industries is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
