Overview:

This vital role focuses on providing comprehensive psychological services to inmates, promoting mental health, rehabilitation, and public safety. Qualifications:

• Must possess a current, valid license as a Clinical Psychologist issued by the California Board of Psychology.
• At least 12 continuous months of clinical psychology experience within the past 3 years (excluding internships and practicums).
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, is essential for effective documentation and communication.

Responsibilities:

• Provide psychological evaluations, diagnoses, and individualized treatment planning under the direction of the Chief Psychologist or appropriate supervisory staff.
• Conduct individual and group psychotherapy, including crisis intervention and suicide risk assessments.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning, including IOTT (Interdisciplinary Treatment Team) meetings.
• Complete mental status examinations, review case files, and interpret psychological testing and diagnostic results.
• Document services provided in compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
• Support inmate transitions within the facility and assist in pre-release planning with appropriate referrals to community-based mental health resources.
• Promote and maintain safety and security standards in all therapeutic activities.
• Comply with all California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) and institutional policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
