**Description:**
Aerotek is looking for Chemical Operators in the West Haven, CT area for an immediate job opening. These people will be responsible for hands-on production
operations, plant maintenance and in-process quality control.
**Daily tasks may include:**
+ Work from written procedures to process, purify, and chemically fabricate products and their compounds through a sequence of batch operations
+ Operate equipment, including reactors, tanks, pumps, mixers, pH meters, level meters, flow meters, valves, and hoses used in the manufacture of said products
+ Locate materials in the warehouse and transport to manufacturing areas using a forklift as needed
+ Package, mark, and label Hazardous Waste containers
+ Operate equipment and follow procedures in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, OHSA'S 18001 standards
**Skills & Qualifications:**
+ Previous chemical related work experience highly preferred
+ Strong technical aptitude
+ Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
+ Previous forklift experience preferred
+ Minimum High School Education or GED Equivalent
