Whether you’re new to the field or have years of experience, we want you to be part of our growing team. We offer a  four-year paid training program for those who may not have experience, providing you with hands-on training, mentorship, and regular check-ins with senior leadership to help you succeed. For candidates with prior experience, you’ll have the opportunity to apply your skills while also continuing to grow and advance with us.

As a Building Automation Technician, you’ll play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing systems that control heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), lighting, security, and energy management in commercial buildings. Your work will contribute to energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and overall building performance.

  • For Experienced Candidates: Leverage your knowledge to install, configure, and troubleshoot building automation systems, ensuring proper functionality and optimal system performance.

  • Help implement and configure building automation system programs and graphical user interfaces (GUIs), with support from senior team members if needed.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve system faults, malfunctions, and alarms, while developing a deep understanding of system functionality and design.

  • Document installations, repairs, and system changes, ensuring all work is tracked accurately for project closeout.

  • Support senior technicians with preventive maintenance, inspections, and system upgrades.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure projects meet compliance with company standards and regulations.

  • Provide end-users and building occupants with clear instructions on BAS system usage and functionality.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in building automation systems.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • For Entry-Level Candidates: High school diploma or equivalent; a keen interest in technology, building systems, and sustainability. Previous experience is not required, but an eagerness to learn is essential!

  • For Experienced Candidates: Some experience in building automation, HVAC systems, electrical systems, or a similar field is a plus. Proficiency in BAS software, building automation protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks), and diagnostic tools is preferred.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and interact with clients.

  • A passion for technology and energy-efficient solutions.
